1. Who we are and how to reach us
MarketMind Prime (“we,” “us,” “our”) is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us at privacy@getmarketmind.com for any privacy question, request, or complaint.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide directly
- Account information: name, email, phone number, password (stored hashed), and date of birth where relevant.
- Identity verification (KYC): government-issued ID, address proof, and selfie or liveness check, processed by our identity verification vendor.
- Broker connection data: MT4/MT5 login, server name, and the investor password you authorize us to use to connect to your broker. We do not store plaintext passwords; credentials are encrypted.
- Payment information: billing address, card-network last-4 and expiry where applicable, bank-transfer references, or stablecoin wallet addresses. Card numbers are tokenized by our payment processor — we never store full card details.
- Chat and WhatsApp messages: the name, email, and phone number you submit before starting a website chat; any message content you send via the website widget or to our WhatsApp number; and the time, channel, and any media you share.
- Strategy data (providers): declared trading hours, fee model, published profile content, and trading data we ingest from the source account you authorize.
- Support content: tickets, screenshots, and any details you share when contacting us.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, clicks, and the timing of actions, used to operate and improve the Services and to detect abuse.
- Device and connection data: IP address, browser, operating system, device identifiers, and approximate location derived from IP.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 8 below.
- Trading and account telemetry: orders, deals, equity, and account state retrieved from your connected broker on your behalf.
2.3 Information from third parties
- Broker accounts and market-data providers (e.g., MetaApi).
- Identity verification and sanctions-screening vendors.
- Payment processors and crypto on-ramp providers.
- Communications platforms — including Meta Platforms, Inc. (WhatsApp Business Platform) when you message us via WhatsApp; we receive your WhatsApp display name, phone number, and message content.
- Authentication providers, fraud-detection services, and analytics services.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Operate the Services — create your account, connect your broker, execute copy trades, run the chat widget and WhatsApp support, send transactional messages, and process payments.
- Verify your identity and screen against sanctions, anti-money-laundering, and fraud lists.
- Personalize your experience — show relevant strategies, fee models, and recommendations.
- Power our automated chat assistant — match your message against our internal FAQ database to provide instant answers, and route to a human agent when no confident answer is available.
- Communicate with you — answer questions, send service announcements, billing notices, security alerts, and (with your consent where required) marketing emails.
- Improve the Services — measure feature usage, debug, train support agents, and refine the assistant’s answers using anonymized or aggregated data.
- Comply with law — meet tax, regulatory, and recordkeeping obligations, and respond to lawful requests from courts, regulators, and law enforcement.
- Protect rights and safety — investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of our Terms.
4. Legal bases (for users in the EEA, UK, and similar regions)
We rely on the following legal bases:
- Contract: to provide the Services you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests: to secure the Services, prevent fraud, improve the product, and run the chat assistant — balanced against your rights and freedoms.
- Legal obligation: to meet KYC/AML, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Consent: for marketing communications and any cookies that are not strictly necessary; you may withdraw consent at any time.
5. How we share your information
We share personal information only as described below.
- Brokers and trading infrastructure: with your authorization, we share connection credentials and trade instructions with your selected broker via MetaApi or similar providers, solely to execute and monitor your copy trades.
- Service providers (data processors): hosting (cloud and CDN), email delivery, identity verification, payment processing, error monitoring, analytics, customer support tooling, and the WhatsApp Business Platform — each contractually bound to protect your data and use it only on our instructions.
- Strategy providers and investors: if you publish a strategy, your chosen public profile, declared sessions, and aggregate performance are visible to investors. If you invest, the provider sees aggregate copy activity but not your personal contact details.
- Partner program: if you were referred by a partner, we share aggregate billing events tied to that partner so we can calculate commissions; we do not disclose your full account details to the partner.
- Legal and safety: to comply with legal process, enforce our Terms, protect rights and property, or investigate suspected fraud or harm.
- Corporate transactions: in the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred subject to customary confidentiality protections.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
6. WhatsApp and chat data specifics
When you start a chat on our website we ask for your name, email, and phone number to create a lead record so we can reply, follow up, and continue the conversation across channels. When you message our WhatsApp Business number, Meta delivers your phone number, profile name, and message content to us; we use that data only to operate support and the assistant. You can ask us at any time to delete your chat history; see Section 9.
7. International transfers
We and our service providers may process personal information in countries other than yours. Where we transfer information outside the EEA, UK, or other regions with data-export rules, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and local storage to keep you logged in, remember your preferences (e.g., theme, sidebar collapse, chat-session token), measure usage, and prevent fraud. Strictly necessary cookies are always on; analytics cookies are used only with your consent where required by law. You can manage cookies via your browser settings or, where applicable, our consent banner.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or update your personal information.
- Delete your information (subject to retention obligations like AML records).
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Port your data to another service.
- Withdraw consent for processing that relies on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any right, email privacy@getmarketmind.com from the address associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (typically within 30 days).
10. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above and to comply with law. In practice:
- Account, KYC, and transaction records: typically up to 7 years after closure to satisfy financial-services recordkeeping obligations.
- Support and chat conversations: up to 3 years after the last interaction.
- Marketing data: until you opt out, then deleted on a routine schedule.
- Server logs and security telemetry: typically up to 12 months.
11. Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive fields, access-controlled databases, audit logs, two-factor authentication, and routine backups. No system is impenetrable; if we ever experience a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
12. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. Automated decisions
Our chat assistant matches your messages against an internal FAQ to provide quick answers; it does not make automated decisions that produce legal effects on you. KYC screening uses third-party tools that may involve automated checks; you can request a human review of any decision that materially affects you.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email, in-app notice, or both at least thirty days before they take effect. The “Effective” date at the top reflects the latest revision.
